Saturday my flatmates Kate, Jaimie and I went to a footie game (Australian Football). Since the actual footie season hasn't started it was a scratch match to raise money for the Victoria Wildfires. West Coast Eagles vs. Freemantle Dockers! Big deal here, it's a bigger rival than the Vikings and Packers. I was cheering for the Eagles, as my roomate is an avid Eagles fan. They were up 106 to 75 with 5 min left. Somehow the Dockers scored 5 goals in the last 5 min to win! Still a fun game, I'd love to see it when it's an actual season game, crazy I'm sure as the Aussies are quite fond of their liquor.
The pictures above are the footie oval (which is quite big, and reminds me of quidditch, which makes me very happy!) and my flatmate Kate and I with some supposedly famous footie players (from the Eagles of course!)
